Sustainable furnishings, the design of reuse by Victoria Arduino.
In addition to its commitment to reducing the energy consumption of its professional espresso machines, Victoria Arduino has launched an upcycling project at the Host trade fair, where it transforms furniture from previous trade fairs and events into new counters used to showcase product developments. In addition, the life of the counters used at the Host trade fair continues as they will be reused for other trade fairs and transformed for the set-up of new experience labs.
The era of “fast design” is over. Climate change and production innovations are leading to a new more ethical and more sustainable type of design. The upcycling project (using discarded objects to create products of higher quality), implemented by Victoria Arduino, is a sustainable design approach to new products, in this case new counters for the trade fair, based on the recovery and reuse (key elements of the circular economy) of old furnishing materials. Besides reducing energy consumption and materials, Victoria Arduino has also decided to focus on production processes whose environmental impact can be reduced.
The old furnishings, reworked without using new raw materials, have been crafted by local artisans to present Victoria Arduino’s professional espresso machines, Black Eagle Maverick, Eagle One, E1 Prima, E1 Prima EXP and E1 Prima PRO, as well as the Mythos grinders.
